Who should attend: This is a MEMBERS ONLY event. Graders and Inspectors from NHLA member companies are invited to attend and learn the "how-to" of Construction Grading.
Expected Outcome: Develop an understanding of the Construction Grading and how it is different from the Cutting Unit method of grading.
Price: $1,995 members. This is a MEMBERS ONLY event. The registration fee includes hotel room for arrival Monday and departure Friday, breakfast at the hotel, dinner Mon, Tue, Wed, lunch Tue, Wed, Thu; hotel reservations will be made by NHLA staff for students and confirmation numbers sent to students 1-2 weeks prior to the event. Note that registration for the event closes 2-weeks prior to the start date.

- Afternoon session - Practice Grading: Car Stock and Select Car Stock

Day 2: Wednesday - Instructor: Mr. Tad Cleve, TPI Vice President Technical Services

- Morning session: Introduction to ALSC program, terminologies and basic defect recognition

- Afternoon session: Terminologies continued, Knot structure and visual grading of edge knots

- Knot structure: full-length and quarter length knots
